Jack studied Pharmacy at Bath University in the UK and migrated to Australia with his wife and baby daughter Joyce in 1986. He worked for various employers but dreamed of one day owning his own pharmacy. After many years of hard work, he finally became the proud owner of Ferndale Pharmacy in 1999. In the early 2000s, he worked alongside his wife and then pharmacy student Joyce to provide a unique family orientated service to our local community. Together, the Ma family strived to always put patients first before profit, as well as providing the best advice. Outside of pharmacy, Jack enjoys travel, nature and action movies.

Joyce followed her father Jack’s footsteps in studying Pharmacy and became a pharmacist in 2007. She has worked at numerous different pharmacies all around Perth, as well as doing a one year stint in Sydney where she gained further experience from a variety of settings there. She finally settled back in Perth to fully manage Ferndale Pharmacy in 2010 and has since loved getting to know everyone in Ferndale, Lynwood, Langford, Parkwood and other surrounding suburbs by name. Joyce is fluent in Cantonese and enjoys spending time with her young family, watching Masterchef and finding new places to eat.

Radha completed her Bachelor of Pharmacy degree in India, before moving to Australia to further pursue a Master’s degree in Medical Biotechnology at Flinders University in Adelaide. Missing the much faster pace lifestyle of her home country, she moved to metropolis Melbourne where she worked in various science, energy and SME customer contact roles. However she eventually found her ultimate home in Perth where she completed a Master’s in Pharmacy at Curtin University. From there, her career mainly revolved around compounding pharmacy, but then she moved into pharmaceutical research where she now works as a formulation development chemist. In 2018, Radha joined our team at Ferndale Pharmacy as our main Saturday pharmacist. Since then she has loved the face to face patient contact absent from her weekday work, and also keeping up to date with the ever evolving field of community pharmacy. At home, Radha speaks Telugu and Tamil. She enjoys watching Hindi movies and spending quality time with her family, especially her toddler who loves getting his hands dirty in the garden and giggles to pretend bike ride on his dad’s motorbikes.

Sheree is an exuberant and caring pharmacy assistant with 20 years experience. She has been serving at 

Ferndale Pharmacy for 4 years and is responsible for all our merchandising, creative displays and providing excellent front of shop advice. Outside of pharmacy, Sheree keeps herself busy with her young kids, 2 dogs and a pet pig named Crackles.

Tracy is a kind, warm-hearted pharmacy assistant who Joyce actually met while she was working at another pharmacy nearby. Loved by the local community and always going out of her way to help others, Joyce was always keen for her to join our team. Ferndale Pharmacy was finally blessed with her assistance in early 2021, much to the delight of our patients. Tracy has 5 years pharmacy experience and enjoys providing our Webster packing services as well as giving helpful advice. In her spare time, she enjoys baking with her daughter and shopping. 

Scott has been our regular security personnel and ad hoc handyman since 2012. Often referred to as “part of the furniture” at Ferndale Pharmacy, he is well known and loves a good chat with all our patients. When not busy having a laugh with customers during the week or kicking out troublemakers in nightclubs on weekends, Scott enjoys a good Netflix binge and playing with his pet dog.
